collision repair process

STEP 1: Contact your insurance provider.

(If you are not using insurance coverage for your repairs, please proceed to Step 2) Your insurance company will open a claim for you and gather all of the pertinent information. They will be able to tell you what your policy covers, what your deductible is, and what kind of rental coverage you have. Make sure that you let your provider know that you want your vehicle repaired at Boyd Autobody & Glass.

STEP 2: Contact the Boyd Autobody & Glass location convenient for you.

The collision repair process begins with the estimate of damages. When you bring your vehicle to us, one of our appraisers will inspect your vehicle, asking you questions about the collision and your vehicle. For example, if your vehicle has been making odd sounds since the collision or if the steering feels different, our appraiser would like to know. These details will help us provide you with a more accurate estimate.

STEP 3: Book your repair appointment at Boyd Autobody & Glass.

After the estimate is complete, a Customer Service Representative will book an appointment for you to bring your vehicle back to the shop so that our technicians can begin repairs. Prior to this appointment, we will order all of the parts required for repair so that they arrive before your appointment date.

STEP 4: The collision repair process.

When you bring your vehicle back to us, our technicians will dismantle the appropriate areas of the vehicle. On occasion, this step may reveal damage that our appraiser couldn't originally see. If there is hidden damage, we will notify you and your insurance company and order any required parts. We'll keep in contact every step of the way so that you are always up-to-date on the status of the repair.

STEP 5: Restoring your vehicle to its pre-collision condition.

Our technicians will complete the structural and body repairs, and then the vehicle will enter the paint booth. After the paint has dried, the vehicle is reassembled and inspected by a member of our management team. Once your vehicle passes our final quality inspection, we'll contact you to visit our shop and pick up your vehicle.
